My 2 cents...

(I'm actually not sure I said what I meant, so just in case: In french, although we usually say "Oui", we do use "YES!" as an exclamation to express a burst of joy, like "Yeepee!" but stronger. That's this meaning I was going for... )

The concert in Verona was magical! I hope one day we see clips from it, or the whole thing. I spoke to Dickie about that concert this past summer while at the Boston show, and he said it would never be shown due to contract issues and payments, etc...involving the orchestra for the Verona show. I had given up hope of having footage of that show because of Dickie's statements, but maybe they've found a way somehow.

Hello Ela!. .. . agreed, very wonderful memories of Verona's concert! So. .. let me understand well: is there some problems with bureaucracy? Aahhhh you know. . .Italy is the country with the most mad bureaucracy in the world!!! . . .for us Italians there are two ways to live italian bureaucracy: cry or laugh. . . . i prefer to smile. . .and to hope that someone will help Peter and his stuff to try to find a solution! Pe-ter Pe-ter Pe-ter!!!

I didn't know about contract issues - since it's my goddamn job (sigh) maybe I might lend a hand? Or it could be an easy way to put the blame on something else other than the fact that in VR PG was TOTALLY VOICELESS from start to finish (and the rehearsals too).

Caste, you might be the right man in the right place to help Peter and his stuff to solve problems "of paper". . . . . . .and sorry, i disagree with you, Peter was not "totally voiceless" as you say, i think you are too much strict. . . .He was just a little cooled, and for an Artist like him, with his wonderful voice, this obviously does not help. I think this: voice is a natural musical instrument, and it also brings with it the personality who sings, so Peter Gabriel does not change his immense personality with cold, he is always himself, and in Verona's concert we saw the real and fantastic and incredible Gabriel's Art! I try to say tha we LOVE Peter as he is, and he sang very well in Verona, crowd was jubilant! A magic that only he knows how to create, this should be enough not to forget that magic night BUT for create the Dvd. . . . Pe-ter Pe-ter Pe-ter. . .. . . ..

Hi Caste and Dolce! Dickie spent time with the VIP group at a few of the US summer shows, including the one I was at in the Boston area. He recognized that although Peter was eating dinner very close to our group, and that we could see him off in the distance, we would not get to spend time with him, so Dickie came over and spent quite a long time with us. He explained that Peter was visiting with some of the Doctors that had saved his mother's life when she had been ill, and they had sought treatment for her in Boston. While I was talking to Dickie, I mentioned that I had been to the Verona show, and asked about the DVD. He said it won't be able to be released because of issues with the contracts and payments for the orchestra that was used for that show. Yes Caste, you should offer to negotiate with the representative of the orchestra . I don't know much more than that. There were several of us firing questions at him during his backstage visit to our dinner, and he only spent a moment with me speaking about Verona. He was amused that I had been at that show, and we discussed the pouring rain that came down on the crew as they packed up the equipment from Verona, but how lucky we were to have good weather that day. There was no mention of PG's voice, or delay due to PG's makeup, etc...The other people at the table would only let me have Dickie's attention for a short time. He did ask some questions regarding the forum too. Here, "on the moon"...questions about which people I have met personally, my opinion of them, what my name is "on the moon" etc...Dickie does monitor the activities here. He was very much aware of which lunies would be at which shows, so he was keeping up with the threads related to the specific shows. Interesting! I will always remember what a fantastic time we had in Verona! Sitting with Dolce and your husband-tears and screaming and singing and the "wave" ! It was a fantastic show! Peter's voice was weak, but he pushed through with lots of tea and honey. Remember the wave!??

Ha ha ! Apache, a great Ola! Ela, thank you so much for the explanation and for having ask something about Verona's dvd directly to Dickie. .. You did a lot for all our questions and doubts, thank you! We hope in a beautiful end! In the meantime let us hope . . . ... . . .and. . .. dream!! Let's go!!! Pe-ter Pe-ter Pe-ter. . .. . . .!!!
