PG, I am brazilian.. I do not like your sound as well as I do not like the Ultraje a Rigor sound..
But respect is valid for all human beings.. and you came to our country to disrespect the brazilian band and also the public !
Just have in mind that all developing countries are supporting you all, almost retired artists to have some money once your country is broken. Get out of your highills baby!

As a fan, it makes me sad all that hassle regarding the PG production staff X Ultraje a Rigor staff. I think that the situation could have been quickly solved by the SWU management, but they didn't move a muscle. I was there that night and I could feel that something as really wrong with the environment.
The worst thing is the feeling that the concert from that night might have been the last time that PG visited Brazil. Shame.

I was feeling sad and ashamed about the situation created between the tho staffs. I think the festival organization made two big mistakes: the first one was having a local band sharing the stage with PG. The sapce left for another concert was good enough for Chris Cornell and his accoustic set, not for a full band show. The second was the total omission during the arguments (by the way, phisical agression is a crime, not a reason to be proud of when we give interviwes to TV).
Anyway, What I'll carry with me is th experience of seeing one of he greatest concerts I've witnessed in my life!
It is likely that PG will never return to Brazil, and I don't blame him for that, but there will always be the possibilty of seeing him in Buenos Aires, where he he has the respect he deserves!

Well Said Pesc9
It's nice to read that you had a great time at the show.
There was way too much overreacting from Brazil on Peter's FB page. It's totally calmed down now but I don't think that people from Brazil handled it correctly, the remarks were so personal, he didnt do it (the incident) so why did many from Brazil go into rage & verbal attack mode on his page?

Well, Moonstorm, all that rage made me embarassed and perplexed. Looks like a surge of patriotism has raised, influenced by Roger Moreira's (band leader for Ultraje a Rigor) speech! For me, that is an unforgivable ignorance, specially the way people took it personally...
I hope Peter realizes he has true fans in Brazil (like myself) who were capable to understand the crisis and enjoy a wonderful concert by on the the greatest musical geniuses of our times!

I am glad my friend, that finally got to see PG live after missing him in the year 1993. It was sad PG didn`t brought his explosive and amazing show from 2009 to Brazil, but now the Brazilian fans had their man playing LIVE in their country. Those who attended the "Starts With You"-festival to PG live surely enjoyed the performance. Others could get to see him live at least on Brazilian TV.
to sum it up as PG would sing:
>>>>> WHAT A SHOW !!!

Pesc, I am sure Peter understands.
for the most part, Gabriel fans are peaceful souls, seems like Ultraje a Rigor are not.

Cimber, the concert was complete mind blowing experience! Despite of all the issues during the festival, the performance was brilliant!
A dream finally coming true!
Well, I still hope he will come back someday with his regular band. I was also lucky enough to see Tony Levin with Stck Men earlier this year. So why not seeing them together?
Moonstorm, I agree with you! I I beleive Peter knows the kind of fans he has!
Happy weekend for you all!
