Just got off the phone with VIP services at Ticketmaster and the notification email for the VIP packages is going out later this afternoon, according to one of the staffers.

Well, I guess we don't have to worry about being kicked out - just the opposite. The email reads "There are no in and out privileges. Once you enter Sound Check, your ticket will be scanned and you will not be permitted to leave the venue and re-enter."
I think I'll bring a blanket - and good thing they have food at "hospitality".
Now it's just the age-old worry about cameras - the email does read that we can't use any recording device including digital cameras and cell phones.
See you Saturday!

Got my email. I saw it said no cameras/recording during the sound check, and no professional cameras at all, so does that mean regular cameras/cell phone cameras are okay during the concert?
Anyone know if there is VIP parking at the Bowl?
I guess we'll have some time to get to know each other between sound check and concert.

See you guys Saturday!

As far as parking:
From info at the Bowl web site.
16. How much and where is parking?
Parking is $7 and is located at Santa Barbara High School, which is 1.5 blocks away from the Bowl.

I just got a new email this morning saying we now have to be there earlier, at 1:45, and the show will start at 7 pm. I wonder why it got changed.
It will be a LONG (but fun!) afternoon/evening.

I would guess that the time was changed because the bowl has a strict 10pm curfew as it is in a residential area.

Thanks a lot for the info on the start time change. I didn't get VIP, so there hasn't been a notification to regular ticket people about that at all.
And the Bowl allows regular (point & shoot) cameras during the show. Since they're not letting VIP do ins/outs, they should still let you in with it for the soundcheck since you're going to be stuck up on that hill all day.
Have fun!
