Hi all,
Looking for help from some fellow Lunatics!
Peter´s touring and I plan to be there. However, I live near Vancouver, BC, so the closest show (Berkeley) is nearly 1500 km away. Google maps estimates that to be a 15 hour drive. So I am debating driving, training or flying.
Here are some questions I am pondering.
Anyone else trekking down to California from the Northwest?
Berkeley residents.do you know much about the Greek Theatre venue?
Also, any recommendations for hotels in the area?
I have never gone more than a couple hours drive for a concert, so I am looking for tips from well seasoned concert goers. Any advice is appreciated!
Finally (and perhaps I should have asked this first) have there been any rumours at all of dates being added to the tour? Particularly Seattle and Vancouver. These I can attend without the airfare.
Thank you in advance. And for those who make it, enjoy the show!
Signed,
(A very determined) Lee
PS - A quick check on ticketmaster reveals the only seats available to be way back on the sidelines. If anyone has an extra ticket or two for the Berkeley show, I may be able to help.

Lee,
If you do decide to make the trip, I'd suggest you check the ticket brokers to see what tickets they might have for sale. Sometimes they aren't much more expensive than face value. There are some forum members that have posted that they will be at that show, and I'm sure some of them can give you some help with info. I've not heard of any rumors of additional dates being added. I've flown to see PG before, and quite a few others here have as well. You are not alone in traveling to see his concerts. There's a group of a dozen people traveling to PG's Red Rocks show in Colorado coming from all over the US, and one couple from England too. I'm driving from Florida to Maine in June, and have planned my trip so that I'll see PG in Mass. on the way up. I hope your plans work out well. You've got plenty of time to work out the travel arrangements. Laura

Thanks for the tip, Laura! I will give that a try.
Flights from Seattle to Berkeley around June 10th are only $159 (taxes and fees included). With the Canadian dollar doing so well, it will be much cheaper than anticipated.
Time to make this happen!
Cheers,
Lee

While I'm no seasoned concert goer (this will only be my second time, the other being his SMB tour :-] ) From what I've heard, the Greek theater is a pretty small venue, so you'll be getting a nice view even from the lawn seating! Here's a couple reference images of the theater seating.
