Peter, I've heard many different versions of Don't Give Up.each one with a different female singer and each one wonderful in its own right. But as much as I admire Paula Cole, Kate Bush, Tracy Chapman.the BEST version is MELANIE!!!!
Each time I hear Melanie's version (UP tour) I am brought TO TEARS!!!
NO OTHER VERSION DOES THAT!
And now I have heard Ane Brun's version.Peter, to be honest, I like her the LEAST. She has a nice voice but clips each line of the song too much.
Peter, since Melanie is touring with you, PLEASE LET MELANIE DO THE SONG!!!
Melanie put much MORE EMOTION into it.maybe because she is your daughter and really CARES about you.I don't know, but I would really prefer to see/hear MELANS

Different songs work better with different singers.
Have you heard her Houston 2003 version? That's the one that is amazing.
