I am happy to say that I have a ticket to Saratoga Springs and it's a decent seat - Row D (right orch - not the best spot, but I'm happy to be so close).
I will be traveling to Saratoga Springs from Philly, PA - a mere 5 hr drive! I haven't yet finalized any details, but I do know that I'll be staying overnight on the night of the show - most likely going to arrive very early Monday morning, if not on Sunday - it'll just depend on what I end up doing.
In any case, I'd be interested in meeting and greeting some fellow lunies so we'll have to keep up to date here.
Thanks for starting the thread, Kgveteran - hope to see you in June!

I have some work ahead of me for this concert. Ive been a fan for a while but there are songs i gotta listen to again and get reaquainted with.
Hopefully a few more fans come out. I'll be driving from Rochester, probably 3 hours or so.

@Kgveteran Get to know the Scratch My Back CD. In Montreal last year the first set was all the first CD and second set was a mix of old and new. Peter always has great visuals too. We are coming from Utica NY and will drive to Albany in about 1 1/2 hours. Can't wait.

Wish I could go, but it's a 14 hours away from me and with the summer fuel prices, plus tolls, I'd best stay local this year. Still I gave it some thought as I do have a friend who lives near Saratoga Springs and didn't spend nearly as much time visiting her and her kids last year as I would have liked. It's really a lovely area. Lots of nice little shops and cafes in town. Beware Impressions of Saratoga, hard to get out without spending money.

Gonna be at the Saratoga show hopefully with my brother Matt. We're coming form Queens in the city - bout a 4 hour drive give or take. I think what we're gonna do is travel up Saturday or Sunday - him and me will do a fishing day there Sunday, and then we'll stay Monday for the concert, and hopefully either Sunday night or Monday, we can say hi to u guys! I've yet to look at hotels - i'd better get cracking! Since Matt and I are avid fishermen, I was thinking that we may goto Peck's Lake nearby (kind-of) - gotta check accomodations there- I know there's a campground with cottages.

MAK-where are you sitting? Did you get one of the Sound check packages? Just curious if you are sitting near me. I'm in the Pit, row C, no sound check. Laura

Hi All!
I decided to spend loads of money (and am now working hard to earn it :-]) and I did up my seat for a VIP package. I am now sitting in the Pit, Row A, Seat #35 - I believe it's on the right aisle (which is further away from Peter than I usually am) but I'm okay with that. There might be some lovely old lady who needs to take some lovely old photos with her lovely old small, digital camera and I might have to accommodate her - better to be taking them a few feet from the man, than having it shine right in his face).
So, as we get closer to the date, we'll have to work out a pre- and post-show gathering. I have actually looked at places and am not sure what's nearest to SPAC - I will work on that (and anyone else is welcome to also :-]).
As for the VIP package - I did not do it last year and have no idea what time we have to meet for that and how long it will last, so if anyone has info on that for me, I'd appreaciate it. (I might only be able to meet n greet post show - but, hey, that's a fun time too!).
Kind regards all,
Pat Parker

Hey Bluedogs!
What a great idea - the picnic idea!!!! I think that will turn out to be the best thing that we can do. Let's try to work on that idea for the pre-show and then if any/all of us are UP for a post-show drink or two, we could all plan on meeting at a central place.
Thanks also for the head's up on the VIP package - I thought that it might be something like that as far as time. (Honestly, if they want me to be there at 10 am and wait for Peter for several hours and he decides that he'd like to make this his longest soundcheck ever, well, I won't be complaining too much, that's for sure :-]).
Since I will be traveling and have lots of "party/picnic" supplies on hand, I would be able to pack up some stuff that we could use and we could go from there. Again, we'll all have to put our heads together to get something together. (I'll work on Mother Nature - she's usually very cooperative with me and my vacations, so let's hope she's game for it this time :-]).
In the meantime, I'm working out my wolf visits also. I'm getting very excited about that aspect of it and am hoping to schedule some photography sessions with the wolf preserves that I'm hoping to visit. (Big thanks to Reminic for the info on the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem, NJ - I'm going to check it out if they can allow me to visit on the day I'll be in the area).
And for those of you who always want a "PG-link" to the threads . . . well, here it is:
PG likes the moon, especially the full moon, while wolves are always associated with howling at the moon, which PG likes. (See how it all comes full circle).
Okay, off to sleep for work tonight.

A picnic sounds like a great idea. We're doing the same sort of thing in Mass. due to the remote location of the show, and time issues with some attending the sound check.
