Did anyone else encounter difficulties in doing this for the Santa Barbara, California show on June 11. I tried for TWO HOURS to purchase tickets and was rejected at the very last step every time.
I phoned Ticketmaster and was advised there were numerous complaints about this.

As much as I loathe TM/LN with all the fees and services charges, can't say that I had a problem for Santa Barbara. I got in right away, got really good tickets and was able to go back an check for over an hour for other tickets that popped up. Sorry to hear it didn't work for you as well.

I didn't have a good time with the Santa Barbara sale either. I got in within the first minute, but it wanted to give me section H already. I tried again and I got Section F. Tried again and got B. Then I got completely shut out for about 7 minutes and then suddenly section O came up. I don't like being that far near the trees (it's such a bad angle), but that was the best I could get, so I took it. When I went back and tried about 5 minutes later, it was giving me section F again. So while it wasn't as dire as trying for something like, say, Radiohead, it wasn't the easiest thing I've bought for a SB Bowl show either.
Hopefully you can get in with the regular on sale, but the Bowl does sell at their box office on Saturday as well.

I'm also having difficulty purchasing pre-sale tickets! I'm trying to get tix for the Greek Theater in Berkeley!
I checked another site, a few days ago, and there were tix available, but it was obviously a scalper site! GRRRR!!!!! I don't think I want to pay over $1000 for the pit.

For the Berkeley show, try the other pre-sales.
APE Pre-sale password: scratch
KFOG pre-sale password: foghead
I just looked and the KFOG password came up with some decent seats, whereas the fanclub tickets are apparently sold out. Yesterday I scored some pit tickets using the KFOG code, though it pains me that the prices for Berkeley show are so much higher than the other venues.
