Hi,
anyone knows wich orchestra will tour with Peter Gabriel? It will be a local one for each concert?
I'm interested in Barcelona gig.
Thanks.

At the last European show this spring (in London), PG used the opportunity to thanks the orchestra by naming each player, dully applaused.
It seems to me that it's the kinf of thing which makes more sense if it was indeed the same orchestra for the european part of the tour (except for Paris of course); so I assumed it was the case, and of course if it was the case then, it's probably the same now.
That's really just my 2 cents however.

Hello all. At the show in Avanches, CH this past Sunday it seems the UK orchestra. On a side note, despite there being no pre-tour rehearsals apparently, the show went 100% perfect - they had standing applause at least twice.

How many musicians are talking about? Should not be very expensive touring with so many people and so much equipment?

Split it into 2 parts:
1. PG team - According to the info had 52 musicians, two conductors, Melanie and Ane singing, 23 tons of equipment and I counted probably at least 20 tour support personnel (lots of tour trucks and busses too). It is a big show and probably not inexpensive to move all those people and equipment around Europe.
2. Other Team: The cost, I think, comes more from the tour promoters and all their "extra" people. At Avanches, they overdid it with too many security personnel.
Hope the information is useful.

Last night in Leipzig Melanie didn't sing at all!
