Hi
Saw PG and the new blood orchestra at the O2 earlier this year. HAVE to see this again, but thinking of treating myself and wife to the VIP tickets (sound check etc etc).
Has anyone experienced the VIP package before?, and yes it is a lot of money so is it worth it? and final question what sort of seats/view do you get.I am hoping that for all the money these tickets costs, it will be near the front.
Best wishes

I came from Canada to London for my first PG experience. It was definitely worth it for me.
Soundcheck - you had to sit about 10 rows back, but you got to see and hear everyone in their "non-performing" roles. I love sound, and I loved hearing little bits and changes of songs - woodwinds first, strings next, woodwinds, strings, and Peter this time. I loved hearing how songs were built. Even after Peter left, I sat and listened to the orchestra go through their paces until I was forced to leave.
Concert - we sat 5 rows back from the stage, center-right (if facing the stage). I was shocked and awed.for me, it was worth it. If you were at the O2 in London and didn't get VIP/soundcheck, I'd recommend it if you're fascinated by all the small bits and sounds.
And FYI - I came to London because the VIP packages were a lot cheaper than North American VIP (half price!). So, it was a deal for me. AND, you get special Tshirts, a plastic laminate, aaaaand a lanyard, aaaand the CD.

I did the Soundcheck for the London show and I thought it was worth it! I like the t-shirt and I especially liked the third row, left seat!!!

I'm doing it again for the Verona show!

In my opinion, it was very, very worth it.
I saw both the London O2 shows. First night was way up on the side. Awesome show and enjoyed the whole PG experience incorporating the orchestra and the overall visuals.
The second night I had VIP tickets. While (sadly) there was no sound check, when I got to my seat it didn't matter what I had missed out on. What I had was incredible. This was an unbelievable, up close PG experience!

Unfortunately, the VIP tickets seem to be no longer available:

WHoA! Just saw the "Blood of Eden" link!!! That was probably the best seat in the house. Cheers, Jinnis.

hello friends!
reading in the forum, VIP entry, Proof of sound, we also have our doubts.
We are eager to go to the concert Sept. 23 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, and we bought the tickets
at WOMAD shop, is the first time we do so.
so far we have not received, and WOMAD's response is that we will receive more news about the event . but we do not know where to pick up tickets, not where we sit, or what time we have to go to the proofs of sound .
uf! is suffering!
for anything in the world would want to miss this concert peter!
a hug!

Mingo:
WOMAD shop should email you all the details at the end of this month. Usually, you have to bring an identification of some sort (I bring my passport.) It's also good to bring a copy of the email with the instructions on it. Usually the check-in time is 2pm.
Wish I could go to Barcelona, too. That's later in the tour and PG & orchestra should have any problems worked out by then.
Hope this helps. I don't work for Real World - I'm just a writer and PG fan.
