OK. its been almost 1 full week since seeing Peter Gabriels 2 shows in NY, and I still cannot believe the sound of his voice!! The guy is in his 60's, and his voice was so strong when it needed to be and so soft at other moments. When I think of his primal scream on "Rhythm of the Heat" and the high notes on "Dont give up", my hair still stands up. There was only one moment that I can recall during the 2nd night, when he dropped his voice to a lower key for 2 lines of a song which I cant recall, but everything else was so absolutely perfect, so absolutely strong, that I will remember this for a long time to come. WOW!! What a performance.

He is, and always will be, unrivaled in vocals, lyrics, stage presence, performance, personal character, poetry and just pure, raw talent. It just doesn't get any better.

Leaving the Bowl, My boyfriend + I were talking about his voice. It's STILL amazing after so many years and there's always a moment in each PG song that will make me smile. Whether it's an inflection or a vocalisation, it just reminds me why I've admired his music for over 20 years now.
