Hello Peter Gabriel fans, My name is Annessa and I am the Catering Sales Manager at the Hollywood Bowl and we are having the Peter Gabriel concert coming up on May 7th in Hollywood, CA. I wanted to let all of you know that you can host your very own private event before the concert! We can do small intimate cocktail parties, buffet dinners, even an upscale picnic! So groups of 10 or more please feel free to give me a call at 323-850-6630 or email me with your questions and thoughts at amarquette@patinagroup.com. Looking forward to hearing from you! Have a great day! Annessa

She is only trying to help put something together Apache, that was uncalled for.

Of course she does, she is not going to do it for free if that is her professional business, no one would really. And I think it was business savvy of her to post. If our group can afford it, I think we might just take her up. It would be so much easier and convient to have someone else have the picnic ready and waiting for us and to do the cleaning up afterwords. Not too mention, many of us are coming from out of town and it will be hard to bring picnic like food/drinks/stuff. Especially if you are taking a taxi to the gig like I am. I am not trying to tell you what to do, but I just do not think their was a legit reason to tell her to F off. Ya know? Peace

Wow Apache. You seem like a mean person with issues. The Bowl is a classy venue, and I am sure that Anessa would provide fans with a great event. G-d forbid the Bowl make a bit of money in its BUSINESS. Did you tell Peter G. to F off when he asked you to pay for your concert ticket or CD? If you are accustomed to getting your food and beverages for free, let me know where to sign up!

Let's not judge Apache too quickly here. Granted F-off may seem a little harsh, but only slightly. If we think about it for a minute, Apache has a very good point. The poster "Anessa" appears to not be a actual member here. It would seem this person joined the forum to advertise their business. Now this type of thing could open the door to a flood of "Advertising members" cramming this forum with endless Ads for their businesses. Is that what we members want here, a venue for free ads from every business in the world. I would think more of us would not. So before Apache is labeled as"a mean person with issues", think about what this forum would be like with every other post hawking their wares. And if members here patronize these types of advertising posts, rest assured the flood gates will certainly fly open. So Apache may have done us all a favor here.

My apologies to those of you who dislike my post. I was in no way trying to start a trend of "Advertising members" cramming this forum. I just simply thought that I would make it aware of the services my company offers. I wanted to show the fans of Peter Gabriel that you could elevate the experience of coming to see him at this beautiful venue. To let you all know I will be removing the post by the end of today. Thank you P.S Granted most of us in the business world are trying to make money. That is how we survive. And yes that is what I do Silverback Alpha, I help put things together that is my job is to serve my guests and clients to their fullest potential. And I thank you for your support. If you call me please state your name and I would be happy to give you a special discount.

Admitted . I've been in a lousy (yet surprisingly spontaneous ) mood for my age concerning the f*** comment. At least thats my judgement as of now. I mean guys (and thanks for the understanding remarks Chas1057) . where would we be if all businesses close to any given PG gig venue would start putting adds up here to catch some bucks last minute?? And concerning "classy venue" sittingroom . that might be. folks enjoying PG for the last 30+ years, however, in general have never been "classy" and that's the way to go . The last "classy" PG gig I've seen was Monaco a few years back and . it sucked (not the music . the attendees) . so y'all have fun in L.A: with Annessa. putting something together .*g* But be careful not to arrive only for the break in between the two parts . isn't there something with late arriving folks in L.A? Remember something when seeing the Lakers getting sweeped by Detroit back in 89 at the Forum . Anyhow . to all the non-classy folks over there who can still afford. have fun

I think it would be nice if there is picnic set up for us, if the cost is $20 or less I would be very interested. I am coming from out of town so this would be great ! Thanks

Rod, I am prepaying for 10 people at $18 per person, so I will count you in for that.
