Hello My Fellow Lunatics - for those of you coming to the HB show on May 7, there will be a picnic before the show, starting after the soundcheck (which is supposed to end around 4:30 or 5 pm) and running until we head back into the Bowl for the 7 pm start time.
We cannot reserve a particular spot, but I will try to "stake out" picnic area 4 starting around 2 pm.

If not area 4 - then wander around until you see what looks like a lunatic landing, and I'll try to have a sign or banner as well.
Bring your own food, and something to share. If you're from out of town and can't arrange to bring anything - still come by and see what food/drinks we have to offer our lunatic brothers and sisters.
Remember, the area immediately around the Hollywood Bowl is actually under jurisdiction of the Los Angeles County park system, and as such there is no restriction to access the area including the picnic area (except for the walled part further down which IS reservable, for a fee, for large groups). To go through the turnstile into the HB itself, of course, you'll need a ticket.
Just fyi - there are LOTS of rules about what you can/cannot take into the Hollywood Bowl. You can't take cans of any kind (even soft drinks), liquor of any kind (to these lease events that the PG concert is one of - to the "regular" events people always bring wine), umbrellas (God forbid it should rain), cameras, and there is no smoking allowed as well (that's the one rule I actually like).

I think too that all concerts there have to end by 10, so it evidently will start at or near 7, with no opening act.
