I Just had a thought,Peter may or may not be able to travel to Canada if this Volcanic ash keeps stopping air travel. I don't want to sound negative but nothing much is happening right now. I am flying to the UK hopefully in 2 weeks but am still unsure what will happen right now. Keep everything crossed. Angel.

It would seem to be touch and go. I live in Glasgow but was in Florida for the past two weeks visiting my mom and her husband at their new house. Basically we're grounded here until the 24th with little hope of anything happening earlier than that. However, Peter operates on a much higher status level of 'must flys' than my girlfriend and I so I think he'll make it out.

According to what geologists are telling the news, volcanic eruptons of this kind tend to last for one month. It is highly possible the North American tour will be scrapped or postponed.

Surely not scrapped! But possibly postponed.

noooooooooooooooooo! say it won't be so! on second thoughts, I don't want Peter falling out of the sky either! My heart is hoping that the concert will go ahead but if it doesn't because of safety reasons, there's not much we can do about it. still hoping

Just to say that on the radio today I heard a very critical comment from a European flight organisation, which said the UK stance was outdated and excessive. So there may well be a change on this. I wish you all good luck with it, I hope it all clears in plenty of time for you.

Maybe, but I read that no less than Angela Merkel had to travel by bus - so had Barcelona football team (so they will arrive tired for the match against the dreaded inter F.C. - DAMN IT! ) Why not travel by trans-atlantic ship?

According to NBC news, Spain's airspace is clear and has volunteered to the be hub for Europe. Maybe PG can truck down to Spain and then go across the pond.
