Forums » Live » To his promoters in charge of ticket disbursement - Hollywood Bowl

I want to thank you for hoarding all the box seats at the Hollywood Bowl. Yes, I could have bought Terrace Boxes in the corner of the venue for $200.but instead, I have checked ticketmaster EVERYDAY since I got the useless fan password and then did the Amex presale. I do not want to spend over $500 per ticket and get your special package. Unless, of course, Pete comes off of the stage and gives me a big wet kiss. The scalpers have the Garden boxes for sale, you have the garden boxes (and I assume pool section?) for your nifty packages and I now see there are boxes I can bid on with seats starting at $340. I'm sure I'll eventually get my Garden Boxes.I wasn't using that other kidney anyway.

wow, the ticket business is really such a scam lately and with the live nation/ticketmaster merger, only going to get worse.

With the exception of the last time Radiohead played there, this was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a general sale for the Hollywood Bowl. Usually I'm able to at least get something decent, but this was just horrible. I just wanted something in the first section of the benches. It's not as if I was asking for much, but I couldn't even get that. I'm only suspicious of the selling methods of this show because (for me) it kept telling me it was sold out for about 2 minutes. Then it finally let me in and I took what didn't look like was on the extreme sides. Why would it be sold out and then all of sudden be plentiful at 10:03am? If there are a lot of people on the site, usually it puts you in that queue and one waits until the page refreshes automatically. And now there are all those resale tickets on Ticketmaster and the inevitable auctions.

Any advice trying to get tickets now? Am I too late to the party?

Agreed! Big story broke where skalpers were busted for hacking the big ticket sellers. This may be the case here. It didn't help that the PG crew used the same password for all their presales and that it was widely known by all the skalpers long before it was here. Lets hope they don't make that mistake again. I spent 4 hours trying to get tickets only to be relegated to some bench seats. Its good to know I won't be alone back there.
