I'd heard that Peter had hoped to perform Supper's Ready on his Growing Up tour, but there wasn't enough time for the band to learn the piece.
Has anyone else read about this? Also, does he plan on doing it on his next tour? One thing is for sure.the key will be lower! I just got the 1970-1975 box set and I love it! In there, there are so many interviews, as I'm sure most of you already know. I love the one interview piece where Rutherford says, "When Pete left Genesis, he realized he'd been singing too high for 10 years!" Later, Pete comments on over-dubbing the vocals for Supper's Ready on the Archive box set and says, "I said, 'Why the hell didn't the bastards lower the bloody key?!'"
It would be nice to hear him do this piece again, since he stopped playing Genesis material so long ago.
I welcome your comments.

Peter is going to "warm up" South America soon. I hope he will add some more concerts, so all of you on the other side of the Atlantic can enjoy a live event.
get crazy and enjoy

Hi HumDrum. . .Don't have any answers to your questions,(sorry)but I Love Supper's Ready and would absolutely love to hear PG perform it live! Don't have the box set yet, hopefully soon. I hear it's really good.
Waiting patiently for a tour in the USA!

Back to you - I am not quite sure about all the genesis
reunion plans, rumours or whatever. For myself I will check out any record store to get the 1970-75 Box.
One thing just for you and all the others out there to mention: check out "the Barry Williams Show" from the 2003 live performances (also on the "Growing up" - DVD).
In the beginning of the song there are some "strange"
sounds- listen carefully and you will get reminded to the "Colony of Slipperman" - the "ghost of genesis" is hidden there.
One fan during a silent period between 2 songs in a live concert in Germany 2007 shouted out "Supper´s ready !!!" - Peter smiled and said: no, not yet.(but soon ?)
