Greetings P.G. fans!
I can't seem to find any reference to this concert but I saw Peter Gabriel one Halloween, in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. at The Paradise (aka The Paradise Rock Club). This was in the late 70s or very early 1980s and I KNOW it was on Halloween for sure as many audience members were dressed up. I recall band members, and I'm pretty sure, Tony Levin the bass player, walking around in the dark with flashlights under their chins. I sat five feet in front of Peter who sat at right angle to the audience and held - wait for it! - a stuffed teddy bear!
My questions: a) does anyone know the exact date or where I might find it? and b) were any of you at the show, and if so, what are your memories?
To this day, I can't believe I saw the great Mr. Gabriel in a club that held about 500 people, maximum.
Thanks in advance for any input you might share.
Best regards,

Hi,
I know this is a really old post, but I was also at that concert, Oct. 31 1978 at the Paradise in Boston. We must have been sitting very near each other..... I was at the table against the stage on the left, in front of the piano. Easily only 5 feet away.
There were 2 shows that night and I went to both. I remember the teddy bear, and Peter sang "me and my teddy bear" got no hair, we don't care ......

I checked a book that I have and saw that PG played in Boston at the Paradise Theater on the 30 and 31 of October, 1978.
The stuffed panda bear that you mentioned was typical of that tour (following the release of his second album).
I only wish I were there and I envy you a lot.

I wish i was there too! The early PG shows have a magical experimental and rock side that were never the same later. If you look at the Rockpalast 1978 video, you will see what i mean

snazz123-do you still live in the Boston area? Were you at the New Blood show in June at what used to be Great Woods, now it's Comcast Center I think. I grew up in Nashua, NH and have been to Paradise to see shows, but unfortunately I did not even know who Peter Gabriel was in 1978. I didn't discover PG for a couple of more years after that. That must have been a fantastic show. I remember being in that club to see Love and Rockets.

Tell us more about the 1978 show!
