for me, neil is one of the very few famous musicians who are not afraid to follow their own feelings and remain independant of expectations coming from the market or the audience. the same is to peter.
here you may listen to some different ways of presenting Cortez The Killer which , i think, are really exiting!
neil was the one who brought me to the guitar. at the age of sixteen i performed his songs and did it again 4 weeks ago. it was a wonderful evening at a small location and really gave me back something very personal: the taste of freedom.

I agree with you, Wave project!
. . . fantastic Neil Young, i saw him in Arena of Verona 3 years ago, and it was really a wonderful concert, he is absolutely himself, and i love his music, his way of singing, so unique, great!
"Harvest" one of my favourite album , you know, i do not know all Neil's albums, but it's fantasti how he "speaks" to all people in the world, no matter if you are not american, fantastic!
P.s. hey!! when i saw title of this thread "perfectionism and free expression" i immediately thought at my response:
YES!! It's possible!! . . .Peter Gabriel!
thank you, dolce...missed your inspiring comments for a long time! no doupt peter is one of the rare well known artists who succeded in remaining himself instead of following expectations.
when i was playing and singing neils songs last month, it did not only give to me expected courage to go on with my project- i got back the old strong feeling to do it my way and share it like this.
so the next weeks and months will bring the result.
will the idea come to life and will it be shared or will it remain a secret world in my mind?
