My interest in the tune Nature Boy is tied up in a brainstorm project that occurred to me yesterday. I envision an animation or TV series based on the character "Nature Boy". I think the tune Nature Boy would be the perfect theme song. Nature Boy is a preadolescent being who is timeless, he never ages or ages VERY slowly. He has lived as a boy through thousands of years of Earth history, with the innocence of vision of a child. But he is old enough to be intelligent and learns wisdom from all of his experiences through the years. He has a positive and benevolent spirit. He clings to nature and is adept at sustainable agriculture, complementary-protein vegetarian diets, living off the land, appropriate technology, and green living in general. He delights in sharing these skills with those around him. As in the tune he travels spreading the good news of bio-diversity, nature wisdom culled from many ages and cultures, and basically a Christian spirit of love for one another. Sort of a Doogie Howser for the Mother Jones set, with a touch of Superman and Captain Planet. Anyway that's my idea. I give this idea freely to Peter Gabriel to use as he will. Enjoy!
