It seemed to rain blood in India during the monsoon in 2000. At first the red was thought to be dust from Saudi Arabia, but further investigation looked as if bacterial cells caused the rain. However, the cells lacked DNA strands, so as to just what it was, we still don't know. http://sai-onlyindia.blogspot.com/2008/12/mystery-of-red-rain-in-kerala.html
