I know that it is a long shot that Mr. Gabriel reads this email, but I am sure that the people in the forum may find it interesting.
I am writing this email to you on behalf of music lovers in Iran. As you may have heard from the news everything is political in Iran, especially music.
Three of our friends in Iran, three music journalists with spiritual kinship to music (as Robert Hilburn puts it) have been jailed for publishing music related articles that are deemed to be political by the authorities:
Kayvan Farzin Manager
Behrang Tonekaboni Editor in Chief
Arvin Sedaghatpisheh Reporter
And their publication 'Farhang va Ahangâ? (Culture and Music) has been closed. We are looking for vocal support for our jailed journalists; especially from music journalist societies. If you can, please give our plead a voice, a song, a movement.

checking if the friends you are talking of aren't yet registred as making part of the actions engaged by Amnesty and they aren't.
Best thing to do, Mr Gabriel, has a long running involvment alongside Amnesty would be to contact us directly yourself.

saw on the page that one of country fellow women journalist is listed by Amnesty, as jailed personality.
Another thing to do is to contact the association created By Peter, in order that evryone would be able to testimony of such situation, as the one you're mentionning, through THE HUB/WITNESS
