Thank you very much, Piedro! If anything mirrors the "down to earth" idea, its that. And it can be done so easily after all, its up to us.

Piedro. . . A big "Plant"-campaign is of course a great thing, but the movement has to come from smaller local groups also. For example a school-class from elementary-school in a dry region somewhere around the Mediterranean Sea (Spain, Turkey or Greece and others) that plants some trees on a free and dry area as a little "school-project" - years later when they return to this place, they will find a little forest there. There must be local campaigns ALL around the world ! A man/woman, even a little kid must learn and realize, that the existence of only one single tree planted new can make a change. Beside the HUGE problem that the rain-forests in Africa, South America and South-East Asia are MORE and MORE V A N I S H I N G , also the days of the Sibirian forests (("the Taiga") seem to be counted too !

If I am not mistaken, there are several local groups as well all around, but the problem is more, that they are often not interlinked, or lack experience or are run over by the usual business plans of governments etc. Insofar a larger known campaign can be very helpfull, also for them. Much money is also spent on projects about reforesting deserts, or other parts with former woods, as for example in China and Korea(there it seems to work) elsewhere. But too often it is only a drop on an hot stone and thrown out of the window. If according actions, no matter, if big or small, could find a forum or forums and exchange experiences worldwide, it would benefit them all. To my knowledge, there are some more already. But anyone is most welcome. My humble two cents. (Actually, my family name stems from the word/image "wood". . .which I learned only lately, happily, of course!)

. . .SO - "Educate Peter". . . . . I mentioned this before, inspired by Lunatic "Rockin Rose", that Peter could start a NEW PROJECT called : - "THE DOWN TO EARTH - FOUNDATION" - to help and support all these activities and groups to save PLANET EARTH - this is a SERIOUS suggestion ! Projects like "planting trees" AND others on any area on THIS GLOBE and other activities could be supported. We already got "WITNESS" and other projects - Peter Gabriel is the right "figure" to set new impulses in such matters ! The "DOWN TO EARTH - FOUNDATION" could also organize concerts for example world-wide like "Live-Aid". Down To(Earth)

Beautiful & Great Idea that can be needed - Anyway, I am studying the Chilean Government Forest Laws and others ways of to obtain legally some Suport & Money from Our Chilean Government, ways to - as the knowed story of the Gandhi's Disciple Vinoba Bavhe - obtain donations of Lands and Money for New Ecovillages Settlements dedicated to the Reforestation Task; ways of to involve the whole Society in the UNEP Campaign (that I think is a Good Worldwide Campaign Umbrella), from the Children in School & Homes making Seedlings of Trees & Edible Plants -- Well; Ideas in my Mind for to Help in the Sucess of these Generational Cause, Purpose very Crucial & entertaining Task Anyway; Go Ahead!

Yeah, Cimber, I would also welcome THAT idea! Time will show, you for sure have Piedro on your side, and somewhat he got something right, on the right place. And I just told him about a japanese artist project, that also is into domes etc. If anything, then I am very much into common denominators, of ALL humans, and (not just one) beliefs. May the internet connect those, for good. And yes, I also think, thats something for Peter.
