Ive probably missed it somewhere at WOMAD, but by the time its 7 or 8pm after stonking around all day from 10am. My feet and legs could do with some sort of massage or foot spa to keep them going for another four or five hours! I know the local ale is pretty darn good at helping with this, but you cant beat a good foot scrunge! This year if you pay extra your ticket includes a spa and backstage bar. Not for me all that, just the need for someone to scrunge me feet. (Scrunge = sesmoism for foot massage). :-]

Sesmo. . . I do wish I could hear you say that! :-] . . .and I really do believe that you think in cartoons not in words! :-]
Synnie 24 April 2009 at 1:28am Posts: 4169 (0 today) Status: offline
Can't do scrunge, sorry, except intuitively, lol, but what about some Reiki? :-]
sesmo 24 April 2009 at 10:18am Posts: 1493 (0 today) Status: offline
Scrunge . . . . . . . . . . Reiki? Reiki sounds alot better :-] We're going to need some of that by the end of tomorrow I recon, after stonking around Longleat all day. Cant wait, I actually feel more (if its possible) like a kid in anticipation. 4 hours and counting! MAK you are right, for evry situation, I can see a cartoon I really ought to do a course. (Time) Right now I can see the car busting at the seems with all the camping gear crammed in it, my hubbys face pressed at the window as he has been crammed in the car also. And me sitting on the roof with a steering wheel extension. The caption would be:- Are we there yet??!! Catch up with y'al Sunday, have a great weekend. :-] :-]
Synnie 24 April 2009 at 1:52pm Posts: 4169 (0 today) Status: offline
Scrunge sounds more direct touch and squeezing and such stuff, Reiki is just laying hands on, which in your case may not be enough, lol. But somewhere I have some Classical western massage and Shiattsu-memories stored. . .not that my body would be very much into practicing these nowadays, while Reiki is OK any time but not for hours. Just in case. . . Sesmo, you need one of these litle cameras with video function! Then you may not even need to write, just post it via Youtube link then! :-] :-] Be sure about my laughters and appreciation!

Sesmo. . . :-] Have a great weekend!
sesmo 28 April 2009 at 1:20am Posts: 1493 (0 today) Status: offline
Thanks again guys, yes a fun weekend was had as you can see in the birthday thread. It was nice to get away from it all for the weekend. Shame one has to come back to it all again! Keeping the sense of humour is more important than ever before on all fronts at the moment. Positive thinking and a win on the lottery will do the trick!! :-] Now ive started thinking ive just remembered all the fireworks I saved for my birthday. Woo hoo fire in the hole. I can see the headlines now "Lunatic denies involvement in second gun powder plot" lol. Nighty night. :-] :-] :-]
Synnie 28 April 2009 at 1:35am Posts: 4169 (0 today) Status: offline
Ah, never mind, Sesmo, earth will have its own fireworks if a new birthday comes, it seems :-] :-] :-] Question may be, what is the right distance to it?? And who would cooperate in the following rebirth? Because who doesn't, is most probably lost. Long live the WOMAD and related ideas!

Here a real hot tip for any of the next WOMADS "Mad Hungaro-Berlinarios" !! the Transsylvanians (referring to the hungarians in that culture-mix Romania, with a twinkle of the eye) http://www.transsylvanians.de/ Watch their videos too, please, can be found under Youtube itself too, its larger then, but the same fun . Also on myspace, btw. And if you think, its just that, then you are severely mistaken. Their changes and cooperations always show you something else. And the Violin is also extremely tender and free, if it so appears to fit. I also heard the brilliant player softly picking up the moments and improvising to whatever sound was around, it was electrifying! First class! What? Nosferatu? If so, then a rescued one with thousand laughter wrinkles, not afraid of the sun either. They may suck your attention, but you will not regret it. But the very best about them, they are full of humour and extremely playfull on stage, which makes you wonder, what stage? Since the audience is immediately included, like best friends. Growing audiences hereabout and also elsewhere. And if you feel meant to join in as a musician, ask them! They are always ready to risk and improvise. . .they say themselves, we do not know, where we will come out. . . But they move you (and your feet too) and themselves for sure. And don't be surprised about the tickles on your headskin. . .its meant to be A sure success, for all sides. Also for your immunity system. No, I am not their promoter, but surely a fan and friend!

Sesmo I like the jam tent idea, I have some home made blackberry I knocked up on a wet day in the winter! :-] What about an area set aside for lunatics from this forum? a sort of PG asylam for the like minded.Entry by hard copy of avator and forum name :-]
sesmo 7 May 2009 at 9:59am Posts: 1493 (0 today) Status: offline
Hiya DT nice to see you around, and thanks for the birthday wishes. Nice to hear all the family are going to WOMAD this year, thats what makes it so special, something for all ages to do and see. Hope to see you all there! Maybe entry for the jam tent would be "produce your produce" or your'e not coming in, (a photo of said produce would be acceptable if you don't want pockets full of jam!) :-] I like the Lunatic "asylum for the like minded" lol, not forgetting the sand pit for digging in the dirt, and the Zorb Ball pen. I think you are on to something here DT, we should have more Lunatic ideas for WOMAD. :-] :-] :-]

Maybe there should be a box on the place, saying: post your ideas here. Or something like that, a board or so? Because the best ideas come on the place itself, during something. . .
desert traveller 13 May 2009 at 11:13pm Posts: 206 (0 today) Status: offline
Sesmo I will send you and Magic wookie PMs nearer the day & we can meet up . In a way Womad is an alsylum for the unlike minded. It is The most splendid example of diverse opinions, cultures religons coming together and celebrating life and music. I know doing the organising for these things its a little less so in reality but for us as Womad goers it 1 weekend we all enjoy the music. Hoping its all as good as 2008 Yes Womad what about an ideas board somewhere in the arena? one big brainstorming place with subdivisions such as music/ lay out/ transport/ facilities etc.

. . .any ideas for WOMAD - looks like some were checking out this thread - on the right there is an advertisment for the festival in July in England ("free entry for kids") - it was mentioned a few pages before : "WOMAD - a children- and family -friendly festival). Growing Up>>>
