I am posting this as I have read about an interesting new contact that may occur between the Kogi tribal leaders and The Elders. For those who do not know who the Kogi Mamas are. please try to do a search for a now out-of-print BBC documentary titled: "From The Heart of the World: The Elder Brothers' Warning". It was filmed in the 90s. The Mamas are the spiritual elders of the Kogi Tribe in Colombia. They live in relative isolation from the modern world and until this documentary was filmed only communicated via a translator with the Colombian government about tribal lands/culture issues. They have watched as we have devastated the planet and plundered Her resources. The documentary was filmed and released so that the Mamas could give us in the Western world (the "younger brother" due to our immaturity of understanding about living in harmony with the natural world) a warning about what was (and is) happening to the planet due to our choices and actions. The isolation from the modern world is by choice, as they have a long oral hiatory and their collective memory goes back to the invasion of the conquistadors and bac even farther. But now the Mamas have been training others who can speak many languages to speak their tongue so that this message can be heard by world leaders and groups who are taking action to heal the planet and stop our mass destruction. so there may be contact, according to news posted on the Tairona Cultural website, of communications with The Elders organization. Very interesting. I would love to see what comes of that!
