I hope at least one of the 'new blood' shows will be recorded so we will be able at least to see them on dvd(I mean the ones who won't be able to attend any of these great gigs!) What do you think?

I'm hoping as well Eva. I have a feeling Denver is not on the 3 gig list for North America. I can get the Scratch My Back cd but I am really itching to hear his own material revamped.

You mean his material being played by the orchestra?Or the covers of his songs?
Progressive jen 2 January 2010 at 10:26pm Posts: 5472 (0 today) Status: offline
Im excited for the orchestral arrangements of his songs, he was talking about a new arrangement for The Rhythm Of The Heat in the Dec video - strings replacing drums. I'm excited for the whole thing truth be told.

Will he play any other songs or most of them will be from Scratch My Back?
Progressive jen 3 January 2010 at 3:34am Posts: 5472 (0 today) Status: offline
From what I gather it will be all the Scratch My Back songs plus some of his original songs with an orchestral arrangement so basically a different take on some PG classics. He said that he saw some of the fan suggestions from the forums and some of those songs will be included so I guess we'll have to wait and see what all the other songs are going to be.

Yeah,so we'll be able to see these concerts! And a some backstage shoots would be great! :-]

Considering how rarely PG tours, recording one of the concerts should be quite profitable. I'm betting the Hollywood Bowl show will be the one recorded, since by then any kinks in the show would have been worked out. (No offense intended to any Kinks fans.)

I'm actually very optimistic about the recording of a show.Besides,if he recorded Growing Up and Still Growing Up shows, why not one of New Blood ones?
sesmo 22 February 2010 Posts: 1493 (0 today) Status: offline
Here here! Pleeeease Peter, for those of us who can't go to one of your concerts. I'm even on my knees here. (Hope I can get up again!) Pretty please!! :-]

Sesmo,I'll go to the London show,but I haven't forgotten that some fans can't,so I sympathise! :-] Also my tickets haven't arrived yet,so he better record a show,just in case! :-] :-] :-]
Duddy 22 February 2010 at 5:14pm Posts: 5641 (0 today) Status: offline
As a non attender I'm adding my pleas(e) to this! Peter did mention recording and having a film available for release but I notice he hasn't mentioned it for a while. A DVD would be consolation-almost. :-]
The Soil 22 February 2010 at 6:24pm Posts: 1894 (0 today) Status: offline
Didn't he mention something along the lines of making it a show available live on the internet? I remember something like that. But then again, he often mentions things he doesn't do.
Duddy 22 February 2010 at 10:27pm Posts: 5641 (0 today) Status: offline
I think he did Soil, but then he does have a lot of ideas.
sesmo 22 February 2010 at 11:24pm Posts: 1493 (0 today) Status: offline
Oh Peter . . . . . . . . . Ideas? . . . . . A good idea would be to fly Duddy and me to the 02 from RNAS Culdrose ( Cornwall ) with complimentary tickets for the Saturday night show!! Yes I am a dreamer lol. :-]
evoulini 23 February 2010 at 7:01pm Posts: 1750 (0 today) Status: offline
Sesmo,I think that suites your case: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en_mp1oUito It's ok,it's good to be a dreamer,you never know! :-] Oh,I'm still waiting for my tickets,sigh. . .
Duddy 24 February 2010 at 5:24pm Posts: 5641 (0 today) Status: offline
Don't Sesmo, it just makes it worse! :-] Actually that's yet another hopeless dream I now have in my head. But wouldn't it be nice to fly from Culdrose - oooh! You've done it now.
evoulini 24 February 2010 at 8:00pm Posts: 1750 (0 today) Status: offline
Duddy,you can't resist,huh? :-]
Duddy 24 February 2010 at 10:08pm Posts: 5641 (0 today) Status: offline
Can you blame me Evou? :-]
