I am trying to find someway to purchase or just download Peter Gabriel's cover of Vampire Weekend's Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa.
Until I found an audio stream of it on YouTube tonight, I wasn't even clear that it was already recorded -- every article I find about it repeats the same meaningless information that "when it is sold on iTunes" it will yadda yadda yadda... without indicating if it HAS already been released.
I have searched iTunes, Amazon, WomadShop, this web site, and the internet in general with zero leads!! I am surprised PG's site and news operation has not shared any information about this anywhere!!
Does anyone know how to find this track?!?
Here's the YouTube stream of it:

. . . PG's habit of not releasing tracks properly is bizarre and really frustrating - the only two places that I have found this track are -
the great Lunapendium PG rarities archive -
http://www.lunapendium.com/
and it turns up in searches here -

. . . Thanks for the detail Caste - I just tried searching ebay and it turned up a selection including Harley brake pads, some exotic kind of engine oil, and some stupid football shirts. . . typical PG tactics. . .as you say, sometimes turns up on ebay. . . I guess it'll be expensive? Probably make do with the mp3. . . why the reject? Is there another Caste without defects?

Not that I know of

It's just that they keep banning me and I don't know why.
Other than repeatedly insulting the owner and very reason of this forum I mean.

The XL CD is one of those PG related items that are hard to find but not quite as espensive as one would think.
I spent some € 15 for mine...

. . . well, I've never been banned, but I get the feeling that my posts are generally not what is required here. . . they mostly get ignored - but I don't think I have your elusive but apparently endearing qualities. . . perhaps I should swear more? Personally, I think PG's a lazy, washed up cash-monkey only interested in serving his fans an overpriced, overpackaged regurgitatation from his heydays. . . he is nothing more than a nostalgia act and I wish he'd give up the pretence of cutting the latest shit music or technology wise - err, like try releasing some new stuff at least once a decade. . . I ain't buying any of it anymore.
