I think I'll probably pick up the Encore CD set from the Chicago show that I saw. On the website, I saw a deal where older Encore sets could be ordered at half off if you pre-order one of the current tour. Seems like a decent enough deal--I had never been inclined to get any from the tours since Still Growing Up, since I wasn't able to see them. But if I were to, are there any particular shows/sets that stand out as special or better than the rest? I suppose setlist-wise, I'd prefer more early stuff, since the Growing Up tour featured so much more recent stuff. Humdrum would be a treat, or any other rare tracks from PG 1 through Security. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Have a look at the Encore CDs of the Warm Up Tour 2007, interesting setlists with plenty of older stuff. I assume they're still available. Brescia is very good, as is Blickling. Some of the earlier dates also had a few rarities too... I'm sure other loonies will recommend other shows, but it was a pretty good tour. The setlists were based on fan polls (ie us lot!)

Decided to go with the the Chicago show I saw, with Hamburg 2007 set--it seemed to have most of everything I'd want. I didn't see the Gelsenkirchen one available, for some reason. The earliest 2007 show available was Hamburg, in fact.

Sigh. My favorite fan is ALL over disc 1 of the Chicago set. I really should have known better, but I thought I might get lucky. I may see if I can edit the between-song crowd noise. Or, maybe I'll just have to see if anyone would be willing to share another set from the tour. Thanks again to her. Whoever she is.
