The mailing states: "To coincide with the tour, So will be re-issued on Sept 17 (UK/Europe) Sept 18 (USA) as a CD, special edition 3-CD set, and Super Deluxe Box Set . " A 3-disc set sounds Super Deluxe enough to me but kidding aside, I'd love to know what's going to be on these extra discs. Have the details been published anywhere yet?

I haven't seen any details, and would love to know. I'm guessing alternate versions and/or out takes?.. and hopefully POV original cut AND full concert re-edited in the Super Deluxe set

I've got the 2002 CD of this but I'll be well up for getting the 3 disc (possibly the box) if its as awesome as it should be.

My wish is for a multichannel (surround sound) SACD remastering of 'So', but given all of Peter Gabriel's albums have already been issued on Super Audio CD and only 'Up' was done in multichannel I'm not optimistic...

I really loved the 2002 remasters except So. It was a bit of a mess and some of the fade outs really show this (studio chatter, parts of other mixes and versions bleeding in). So, ahem, a further remaster is needed. There are all the B sides and 12inch versions from the singles should fit on a disc and hopefully we'll get some demos and working versions given PG has been happier to release these in recent years.

BTW the Classic Album DVD/Blu Ray is being released on the same day, so will not be featuring in the package.

. . . as with most of these re-release packages, the motive is easy money, so I expect it will be ridiculously over priced and offer a thin but tempting offering to hardcore fans. . . . I hope I'm wrong (ie - either it won't be over priced or it won't be tempting)

Looking forward to release. What i'd like to know is when the presale will start. I've been saving for months and have many, of what we Brits, call pounds secretly stashed ready to pay into my account to splash on all things SO.

amazon.de has listed the limited edition for the So - 25 1/2 anniversary edition. it costs 110 eur and the specs says it'll contain 8 discs!! assuming this is not an error, and considering this box set costs the same as the pink floyd collector's editions released last year, does that mean we should expect the same kind of content? ie. video documentary, audio outtakes and demos, 96khz/24 bit version, regulard CD remaster, maybe the LP version too? New Blood was released on LP so I dont see why So wouldn't be, especially as it was initially released during the LP era! Now, with 8 discs, can we hope to get POV on blu-ray too? and if it comes on DVD as well, that will be 2 discs. With 8 discs in total, one has to expect to get the same content on different formats unfornutately..)-:

Hmmm. No b-sides / remixes disc? No 5.1 remix of the album? And if the tracklisting on Amazon is to believed, no "Red Rain" on the live concert. And the Classic Albums disc is a waste for me as I have the Blu Ray on pre-order. I was really looking forward to this and I must say it's very disappointing.

Looks great to me. I already have the b-sides, so don't need those. But this set includes the So live concert, as well as an entire CD of demos, plus some extra bonus stuff. Do we know what "Courage" and "Sagrada" are? Have these surfaced before?

Quite disappointing . I don't care about Vinyl. No rare / unreleased tracks other than the 3 on the vinyl ? Why not on CD ? What about Don't break this rhythm, Curtains, and all the demo snippets we once heard here on PG's website ? No 5.1 of So ? DVD in Athens is ok. But I don't need the additional live CD of it.

Actually, we only have details for 5 discs on Amazon. So thereis still hope to have something more special on the 3 unlisted CD's remaining...
