Ahhh - that explains it. . . just wondering which obscure international arts magazine is giving away a CD with the New Blood Secret World on it. . . I think there should be page here called "PG Tips" (dedicated to a brand of tea available in the UK, I don't know about elsewhere) where fans can have a nice cup of tea and catch up with any **real** PG news or new releases. Afterwards they will feel relaxed, refreshed and not at all anxious that despite frequently visiting petergabriel.com that they are misinformed in any way or lacking a vital update on any new new releases. A bit like this site -

well, it's officially on facebook... it is indeed PG stuff!
I've just ordered it from the spanish website, but still, in what is probably a first in nearly 37 years (since I discovered The Lamb), it does not turn me on in any way.

I have been away for a day and am sorry for all the headaches I gave to you...
I have been in contact with a person who owns a copy of this release and got told, that there isn't much information in the Matador magazine about the CD. It has a simple cardboard sleeve with just the front cover of the magazine and the names of the four tracks at the back. The credits only mention that the music's been published by Real World Music LTD, courtesy of www.petergabriel.com/matador (you get an Error 404 there...), and published in 2011 by Peter Gabriel LTD.
If the music is any hint of what direction a new PG album would take, I'd find it very interesting.

Thank you very much for your kind words, Mr Beef.
Re-reading the thread today, I understood that it looked like a hoax to some regarding the sparse information given about this release.

William, first of all I do owe you an apology for calling it a hoax: it was not so much your sparse info that brought me to think of it in those terms, but as you say, the scant and auto-referential information available anywhere else. The discog entry is your own; the Spanish publisher mentions "a cd" with no further details; all other websites do not even seem to know about it apart from Amazon; Peter never gave the slightest mention of it on the Moonclub videos and there was no official word from this very site...
It still remains to be ascertained wether the cd will in fact be available with the single issue of the magazine (as Amazon says) or wether it will only be a gift for the full package subscribers (as the LaFabrica website claims). In doubt, I opted for the second option and did buy a subscription

.
Then, we'll also have to see wether it wont be released elsewhere, either phisically or digitally.
Finally, in strictly musical terms, I have tried to listen to the whole thing again, but the utter lack of enthusiasm for it all is staying with me. I'm not a taliban such as Caste above, and I will not commit suicide by turning into a PC fan (I'm on a Mac, anyway...

) but I definitely can't see this as an interesting and stimulating direction.

No need to apologize, Intruder. I understand your point very well and it is always good to check information twice.
As I also like Ambient and Electronica, I would enjoy a very experimental PG album a lot. (But maybe that wouldn't be a wise move, career-wise....) Anyway PG will do what he likes to do and whatever direction he'll take it will be an interesting artistic venture.

Hi Borland,
I'm also interested in getting the links to hear this new music !
I will also surely buy the thing when I can (as I have almost a complete PG collection, so this one is for the future) but I can't for the moment (buying a new house is the main thing for me at this time). My name is Mathieu and my email is matthibault@yahoo.fr Thanks in advance.

Bumb!

Four more ' quiet moments'?
I think, publishing two excellent cds in two years makes it cool to play around a bit.

He posted it on his facebook page too.

I'm not buying this. One issue of a magazine costing over 150 Euro??? What the fuck??? WHAT the ACTUAL FUCK is this??? Just a laugh for the super-rich who like to have cool-looking magazines laying in their bathrooms??? The two free concerts last year were great but now RW has seemed to drop right back to pricing PG items waaayyyyy out of reach.
Also, this sounds like reworked New Blood material and absolutely nothing new and no indication of any new direction for PG.
