The new issue of the spanish Matador N Magazine features a 4 track CD of instrumentals by Peter Gabriel.
Tracklist:
01 - Topping the Mountain - 13:03
02 - Slow Blooded - 5:30
03 - Deep Heat - 9:13
04 - Warm and Alive - 17:29
A bit pricey though.

Does anyone have more information about these tracks?

I've found this album on a torrent site and is marvelous. Sounds very Eno.

I really enjoy listening to it a lot. It would be very interesting to get some more information about the recordings.
Part of a future project?

Hi Borland - good to see you back again - that's a great avatar. Thanks for introducing me to The Sound a while ago, all the best.

Thank you WilliamLee!
How it that possible there's absolutely no official information on this web site???
Is the music in the vein of "Birdy", "Passion" and "Long Walk Home" or is it different?
Who are the musicians with PG?

It seems very strange nothing can be heard about it.

Hi Borland,
since there seems to be no chance of sending PMs I will post this there:
is it possible for you to send me the link for the torrent?
I will surely buy the thing when I can (as I bought 500 goddamned PG singles and countless other things of his) but for now I would be glad to listen to this.
My name is Davide and my email is xcd71@yahoo.it
Thanks in advance.

Checked - again, thank you so much.
Unfortunately, the actual stuff is kinda boring.

A friend of mine contacted the Spanish guys: I'll let you know the details if you like (and if he gives me permission).

Mmmmh...
This might turn out to be more or less closely related to Peter by some strange path, but every element available for now makes me seriously think this all sounds very much like a jinx...
1) no word from the horse's mouth, this site, nor even the briefest of mentions on any Moonclub video
2) the Spanish website. If you read it, it only says that, amongst the other things, in return for a yearly subscription to the magazine (hence the hefty 125 euro price for non-Spaniards) you will get "a peter gabriel cd", but there's no word on the title or content (if you search for the supposed cd title or the separate tracks you come up with a 'not found' result). Now think: if you had the chance to flog a really 'exclusive' PG release wouldn't you give all sort of details all over the place?
3) Then there's the matter of music itself, totally distant from anything Peter has ever done: the major indicator - at least for me - that this has not much to do with PG is the complete lack of any rhythm whatsoever in the 4 tracks. Nothing but keyboards and sounds that depict soundscapes which indeed, as Caste said, are boredom inducing...
In the end, I would be really surprised if this story holds up and gets proven true.

At the risk of contradicting my Capo

up here, the other *big guy* we both now as Mozorising has told me that it's definitely PG.
As in "PG at his dullest" I'm afraid, but PG nevertheless.

first, I meant 'hoax' rather than jinx... don't know whre that came from

I did get it from Mozorising too, but I kept searching and with no better results.
Looking for the ISBN mentioned only reveals this 'Matador' issue to be a single item variously described as paperback or magazine. Apart from Amazon (and another site which has seemingly lifted the description from Amazon itself), there's never any mention of a cd attached.
Until I hear someone official confirming it, I will suspend all judgement...

I like the fact that here I stand like the proverbial ceramic vase among iron vases (as Manzoni would put it)

- or rather like the spokesman for our mutual friend MozoR.

Reply from RW received: "It's mash ups of new stuff, slow versions of the music Dickie and Peter messed with".
