Come on PG - just flippin' get on with it! How long does it take to peel a bannana?

I think it's safe to assume that nothing will be happening for So's 25th.

. . . or the purest, most natural baby food drawn slowly by the lips of a genuine Amazonian through the finest silk scarf available to humanity?

Somewhere on this site I read that PG promises a surprise for the anniversary before the year is over. So still there is hope.

It would have to be pretty damn soon. November he tours South America & Mexico, so October will probably be taken up with rehearsals. He usually takes off from music the entire month of December. That leaves September.

Warp2600, where on this site did you read this? On the forum? Then it doesn't necessaryly have to be true. I wouldn't even believe it, if PG himself announced it. As he often announces things and dates, and then there's a delay, and things are being postponed. Sometimes they come later, sometimes they don't come at all. Also, what TAWG (Rraven) said, is also quite relevant. Mr. Beef, you are very creative and funny.

. . . thanks for laughing with me Soil. . . although I fear that yours is a fairly unique appreciation :-]

"Somewhere on this site I read that PG promises a surprise for the anniversary before the year is over." Perhaps the surprise is that there will be no surprise? Anyone surprised?

I guess all we can do now is wait. . . . having said that, it would have to be pretty special to make me want to buy So for 4th time. In the meantime, I'm just gonna live my life. . . . but it would probably make a great Christmas present. . .. and my birthday is soon after. . . . no, I'm not going to expect anything. But I hope to be surprised.

Thanks, warp. I don't really check the News section very often. So it says before the and of the year. But WHAT will we get? Probably just reissues without any bonus tracks. I cannot imagine what else it would be. If it really was a special surprise, then somebody at the studio must have been working on it over the last year. But it sure wasn't PG, as he was busy touring all the time. If there was something coming, I would be better off than Mr. Beef though, having bought So only once. Now I would really want to have that odds&sods boxset Pete's been talking about for years. Anyways, I sure as hell won't WAIT for anything. I just forget about it, until I hear news about it again. Most often I don't hear any news though.

Currently I do not own any format of SO. My dream is a multichannel mix on SACD. I do have the video collection 'PLAY' on DVD, and it contains half of SO with a surround mix. I do not understand why they do not release all of those tracks on a compilation SACD.
The Soil 17 September 2011 at 1:06pm Posts: 1894 (0 today) Status: offline
Oh, okay. I'm not such an audiophile. I don't own an expensive high-end audio system, so I don't care about such stuff. I'm happy when I can just listen to the music. And I think I'm not the only one. Maybe that's why they don't put stuff on SACDs anymore, maybe it's too expensive and just not mass-marketable? But I wish you good luck with your dream anyway, warp!
