I used to not like The Drop but I've listened to it a few more times and now I really do like it.
Street Spirit, no amount of listening to it will change my mind.

Houston, we have a problem.
Slowburn is one of my all time favorite PG tracks!
Listened to that solo SOOOOOO many times.
Right, here's my list:
PG1
Here Comes The Flood (Not bad, but a bit too.much)
PG2
On The Air - Not enough bass, not enough headroom.
PG3
Biko - I respect the whole freedom thing, but i'll go mad if i have to adopt others feelings about those issues. I can't listen to Biko and feel warmth more than once a year, else it just feels like torture.
PG4
I Have The Touch - Shake those hands get's repedative.
Plays Live
Biko - You know

So
Perfect
Passion
Troubled - Meg
US
Kiss That Frog - *@$#%& that sh**!!
OVO
Father, Son - I don't have time to feel depressed, wich this song does to me.
UP
(First part) I Grieve - Stop screaming!!!
Keep this in mind, i love all of PG's stuff (Except Kiss That Frog & Biko)
Just being super critical.

We all have different tastes

I adore Biko and I Grieve - even the flies and rats

Not a huge fan of Kiss That Frog on US but I really like it on Secret World Live and I agree I Have The Touch could use a little less hand shaking :-]

I have the touch on Plays Live is one of the highest points in that selection. Also, My Head Sounds Like That is one of my all time faves. so steeped in vibes and all them weird sounds, I dig it. The entirety of Up, actually.

Yup, great album - almost unexpected, in true PG tradition.
I was expecting a more relaxed vibe, you know, from a middle aged middle classed man, but the opening of Darkness just blew me away. Like it's meant to do.
Amazing album, but My Head Sounds etc. still seems a bit weak to me - apart from the break, which is clearly a "reprise" of Darkness.
Because UP is a concept album as well. . .

I love "My Head Sounds Like That". It's one of my favorite PG track. For me "growing up" is not as good as the rest of the album.

About "Biko" i think you can fall into the trap of thinking after many years (in italian we say: "col senno di poi"), because we have heard it many times, so it is possible it can lose the primordial meaning.
This is not mean that this song has lost its important meaning, but that you should listening to it carefully to find the light: Music, original sounds, words, how Peter sings, choir and all. . .

P.s. i mean original version of PGIII.

I don't like Barry-Williams-Show.
And I'm not so fond of depressive stuff :-] like: I grieve, the drop,.darkness( now with new blood it's much better!
But sometimes I also like those.

I like Caste`s idea for this thread - but it`s not that easy to pick out some tracks.
I am no big fan of "Secret World Live" - the recording - especially Peter`s vocals were dissapointing. The extended "Shaking the tree" live - that is what I would describe as "unlistenable". A couple of tracks - a few actually are good though. But - it cannot represent the WHOLE Secret World-tour.
3 songs share the atmosphere and mood - i would describe them as "cousins" - "The Drop", "My HEad Sounds like that" and "Street Spirit". All 3 songs I do like very much.
Many Peter Gabriel songs have got different versions and mixes - so one can pick out another version - for example a good live version, which he/she may like better.
There was the short "Mindblender"-mix by William Orbit (the original video-clip-mix) which was an excellent version of "Kiss That Frog".
