ok, you're right. :-] but I am a newcomer to the world of peter gabriel and all those comments under the youtube video (some are absolutely certain that it's Phil) made me falter. And some friends of mine added more doubts. I should choose my friends better.

LOL Vally. I hear ya loud and clear on choices. not to take away anything from Collins but Peter is sooooooooooo much better. how did I do? did I sugar coat it? -- Phil is wonderful, has a superb voice and is an awesome drummer, but when he went 'pop' he plopped. too bad Phil feels the way he does nowadays, he thinks the world does not 'like' him. Nonsense Phil, nonsense. You just need to be more intense with your music, don't go the Sussido route ever again. and I do know of his hearing loss, that is a crying shame. all the best to you Mr Collins.

Thanks to everybody. I like this version so much: it's so intense, Peter keeps his voice lower than usual and every words gain more meaning. And the guitar literally sings with him.

Indeed. The voice plus the dynamics leave no doubt it's PG. Plus, Phil's voice can be heard in the back during the chorus. This version comes from The Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles - January 24, 1975. The same show from the Archive 1967-75 Boxset, but without the overdubs.

That is most definitely, without a doubt, Peter's voice!!!
