Beyond Peter and good songs, what things would you always expect/want to hear on a new PG album?
- David Rhodes
- Tony Levin
- Shankar
- At least one "funky" type song
- Unusual yet distinctive artwork

A plethora of drums and guitars. . .
Sammy The Slug2 February 2011 at 8:34pmPosts: 1040 (0 today)Status: offline
Bring back Manu Katche on drums.
Cimber3 February 2011 at 9:21pmPosts: 2573 (0 today)Status: offline
Bob Ezrin for "New Blood" as producer.
back to the new stuff:
I absolutely agree with a "funky type song".
He could also feature some of the current signed artists at Real World.
Why not getting Larry Fast back on board ?
I must say I also like Ged Lynch (is it just me ?)
David Rhodes and Tony Levin (to the right and left of PG)
. . .and that certain sth. that makes you say:
"aaah. . .this can only be music and a song by PG".
that "certain something" one cannot find in the music of ANY other artist.

Tony Levin on bass
Phil Collins on drums
Robert Fripp on guitar
Larry Fast on keyboards
backing vocals by Kate Bush.
That's what I would like to hear - but I expect just Tony Levin (which is good, eh, but that comlpete lineup would be killer :-]).

I like Ane Bruns voice very much, but for "Don't give up", Kate Bush would be great!

A list of wishful ingredients. . .
A guest appearance by any, some or all of the following:
Steve Hackett
Robert Fripp
Daniel Lanois
Manu Katche
Phil Collins
Larry Fast
Shankar
Kate Bush
Sinead O'Connor
Paula Cole
And please Peter. . .can you make it a double CD?
One can dream. . .:-]
DolceVita4 February 2011 at 3:38pmPosts: 2330 (0 today)Status: offline
. . . but Phil can play drums?
Sammy The Slug4 February 2011 at 4:04pmPosts: 1040 (0 today)Status: offline
It would be so nice to see Peter collaborating again with steve Hackett. I can't agree more MAK!
It's always good dreaming

I would like to see PG use more acoustic instruments in future songs, like in "Mother Of Violence" or "Party Man" and less use of electronics (like in "Growing Up" for example)

I totally agree with Caste.
And I would like to hear some CP70 again, but that instrument is hopelessly out of style and outdated, I guess.
MAK in the USA25 February 2011 at 3:01pmPosts: 3645 (0 today)Status: offline
Would like to add another to my guest appearance wish list. . .
Youssou N'Dour . . .
. . .and. . .agreed Cimber. . .featuring some new blood (no pun intended ) with current signed Real World artists would be cool. . .
Sammy. . .the Gabriel/Hackett collaboration has been a dream of mine for many years. . .good to see I'm not alone with this dream. . .
Are you listening Peter? :-]
MAK in the USA25 February 2011 at 4:04pmPosts: 3645 (0 today)Status: offline
Let's take this Gabriel/Hackett collaboration dream a step further. . .at least for moi. . . . . .
How about revisiting this tune. . .PG on vocals, of course. . .
"Deja Vu". . .

. . .one can dream!

In the last months I heared more of Steve Hackett and though he sometimes looks and more looked like a macho-man his way of playing and composing is full of tender fantasy.
So I also agree to MAK and Sammy: They (Peter and Steve) should play it again!
MAK in the USA27 February 2011 at 4:13amPosts: 3645 (0 today)Status: offline
Agreed Sammy!

I trust Peter to make those decisions, I will just be happy when there is a new album with NEW material.
