I am sorry if this seems like a dumb question haha but are the back catalogue re-releases from this past year reMASTERED? Or are they just simply re-issues. I have seen them billed both ways. If someone could please clear this issue up for me that would be great!

From what I know they are the same as 2002 releases. They are digipacks (those awful cardboard sleeves that get trashed whenever you take them in the car).
Wait until 2011 for the new ones, they should have extras.

The 2010 digipacks are quite beautiful, i've bought the entire set.
But i'll be very careful with them.
They are remastered, which i think is very good.
Some may feel the mixes being a tad bit hot, but i prefer the hotness over poor sound.
Wich the CD mastering originally had in my opinion,
My full range tower speakers love these remasters, haven't used my sub in ages.
Some of the earlier albums really benefit from it, not so much Us and upwards.
Not really needed on them.
I am looking forward to 2011 regarding PG material, should be lots of fun.
