Hi all, I'm still fairly new to PG and his music, so could somebody tell me something about the I/O project? I heard it is/was supposed to be Peter's next studio album after "Up" but hasn't seen the light of day yet. What were the orininal plans? And when WILL it see the light of day?

Hey GH, here's what wikipedia says: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I/O_(album) We haven't any news about it's release. I don't know if he will release it, but what I do know is that fans are waiting and will be waiting patiently for new material by Peter. A piece of advice for you: a PG fan must be a really patient person! :-]

Thanks very much for the link, and for the useful piece of advice! Well, I'm a huge Paul Simon fan, and he isn't the fastest when it comes to album releases, too, so I'm kind of used to that. Same goes for David Gilmour whom I like a lot, too - his third solo album took him over 20 years. Would love to hear some new PG material ASAP of course, though :-] Since I missed the Growing Up tour, I also really want to see PG live with his band. Not sure if he'll do another big tour. What do you think?

I finally feel like the life of PG fans is getting better! Reissues, 25th anniversaries, New Blood etc Lets hope, he gets busy with I/O after the New Blood tours/recordings. I'm hungry for some new studio material, and signs show it will have an uptempo feel, the very reason his early material is my favorite material

GH: I missed Growing Up tour, too(I was 12 then, so go figure :-] ). So I hope I'll see him with the band. Fortunately I saw him with the orchestra, and that's great for me. Doing a tour with the band isn't ulikely, in my opinion, but whatever will be, it won't be long, that's for sure. Fidelity, I agree with you! :-]
