. . . actually, for once, I think it will happen "quickly" (relatively). . . the songs are now well rehearsed and the arrangements polished . . . maybe I'm being optimistic but I'd say no more than 5 years. . . maybe 7 at the outside.
I was just reading about Steve Abel's new album ' it's great and guess what? It was recorded in two days! Two days!!

Come on PG - put a bit of nitrous oxide in your pipe and go for it!!

Okay let's see what's next in line. . .That orchestral album of own songs, the I'll Scratch Yours album, another (rumoured) album of covers of electronic music or something, he also mentioned that he'll someday will do a cover album of soul or blues music. . .ah well, I guess this time it will take (at least) 20 years for a new regular studio album (I/O or whatever it will be called) Oh, sorry I'm off-topic btw.

Oh well Rraven, I'd rather invest my money in Greek government bonds, that'd be less risky. :-] (Sorry, bad Soil!)

What Peter should do is take the orchestra in to the studio either the Big Room or the London Temple and just run through the whole thing live, not think about it, and correct any mistakes (i.e forgetting words) in post-production. If we can't get a live album, can't we at least get a 'live feeling' one? I for one am getting antsy for I/O

The orchestral versions are already recorded live, I am sure. The "Master of Sound", Richard Chappel was to be seen on the left side of the stage during the whole tour. All you need to do is the usual mixing now, then you got the "live-album".
So please a release for September together with some new concert dates - also to promote the brilliant "SMB".

Yeah, but this PG we're talking about, Cimber. He can't just release a live album. He always has to do studio dubs over it, like on "Plays Live" or "Secret World."
Anyway, I sure hope you're right!

I think I remember reading something about union fees as well. Any of the musicians present on the date of live recording get an extra performance fee which is much more expensive than contracting them for a couple of days in the studio.
