Wow, I was just wondering about a PG CD of his film songs, how cool that would be. Well done! Thanks, Cimber!

. . .I was inspired to this here by a an album of Sting - a Japan import - called Sting "At The Movies" feat. many songs not available on his regular albums.
Peter`s "At The Movies" sounds much more interesting to me - each one of these movie-tracks above has got a complete different sound and music style.

Don't get me wrong, I love PG's music and his voice but I did not like his cover of Strawberry Fields at all.
I listened to it on you tube and someone made the comment that he sounded like Kermit The Frog.
I have to agree.

Oh well, speaking of the movies. I listened through the Gangs Of New York Soundtrack yesterday and well I liked all the music EXCEPT for the U2 song.
I also think PG shuold release a CD with all the movie Soundtrack contributions. And a CD with Remixes, different cuts and earlier demos. That's the real interesting stuff when you have all the regular albums already.

The interesting thing about the "Gangs of New York"-soundtrack is:
1. Peter`s friend Robbie Robertson was involved into this project as musical director - just like he did it on the "Phenomenon"-soundtrack, where he also made the "Robbie Robertson"-mix of "I Have The Touch".
2. Beside the instrumental "Signal To Noise" featuring guitars by David Rhodes (not to be heard on the "Up"-album), there are also tracks by other Real World-artists like Jocelyn Pook and an istrumental-track by the Afrocelt SoundSystem.

Now some TV-series and PG-music:
1. "Book of Love" in "Scrubs". . .AWESOME scene.
2. yep and the 80ies:
"Miami Vice" (with Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas) featured these here:
- "Sledgehammer" (played in a bar-like disco in the background)
- "Don`t Give Up" - like with "Scrubs" on the final episode of "Miami Vice".
3. I think "I Grieve" was used in "Superman" (the new TV-series).
surely there is more than this
