Hey there! Can anyone help me with some info here? I've got a vinyl copy of the 1st album from Direct Disk Labs, a 1/2 speed audiophile mastered version of the LP. It seems to have a rarity on it. The beginning of "Slowburn" has an extended full band intro, similar to the way they played it live before the usual quiet piano beginning I've heard on all other versions. It's like the Direct Disk people accessed the original master tape with the intro that was edited out of all other pressings. Does anyone have any info about this special version? Why is it here and nowhere else? Does it exist anywhere else? Why is the intro cut off from all the other copies? What happened? The song tracks at something like 4:34 on other copies, but is about 5:16 on my special vinyl. If anyone has any info, could you please email me with your answers? I don't check in here at the PG forums very often so I may not get an answer from reading a reply here, but I'd love to know about this obscure version I have. Thanks! audioarchivist@hotmail.com
