. . . .?

. . .We all LOVE Peter singing and his VOICE - but let us not forget the WONDERFULL "PG-instrumental-sound" since the early Genesis-days. There is some material on Peter`s solo-albums and the early Genesis-albums, also "Ov", "Long Walk Home", "Birdy" and "Passion". . .

Very nice question Cimber! Ok,to start 2 fantastic jewels: - Genesis "The Waiting Room" - fantastic sounds effects, very important for the wonderful story of Rael) - Peter Gabriel III "Start" - simply won-der-ful!! . . . !!

Unquestionably "It is accomplished"! I weep everytime.

At the moment it has to be 'The Feeling Begins'. I love it when the drum bursts in and the crescendo of the piece. There are lots of instrumental parts though within songs that I love too. That would really open it up!

Well, I LOVE "A Different Drum". and then "Stigmata", "With This Love" (brought me to tears the first time I heard it), and "White Ashes" follows with no specific order. Not to forget I've become a little obssessed with "The Tower That Ate People" recently -is it considered instrumental :-] ?

Oh, right Climber! Forgot to mention "Running To The Rain", "Gracie's Recapture", and "No More Apartheid". How did I even forget about them *sledgehammer-ing my head* ??!

There are more on my list. . .of course. . .I can never choose just a couple. . .but I'll begin with these. . . With Genesis. . ."Horizons" PG Solo. . ."Start" . . .more to follow. . .

Lost Debris. . . "Gracie`s Recapture" is another favourite of mine. My favourites on "Birdy" are "Dressing The Wound" and "Sketchpad With Trumpet And Voice". Peter using his voice like an instrument. . .wonderfull.

Now come on Cimber, if we're allowed to include Peter's voice.! Most of 'Across the River' and 'Slow Marimbas' from SWL I could listen to over and over. Even the sounds of the audience makes them something expectant and emotional.

Shankar`s voice and violin on the live-version of "Slow Marimbas" together with the sounds of the audience is truly very emotional - absolutely, Duddy. . . ."Across the River" has got some lyrics . "Stigmata" and "A Different Drum" are other tracks with Peter`s voice - we should also add Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan`s mindblowing vocal performance on the track "Passion". . .

There is the primitive version of "The Serpent" - Genesis - From Genesis to Revelations. The title of this song was: "She is beautiful". And the lyrics says: " Hey,girl, I love you but you won't listen. . . ." (I think Peter wrote the lyrics but I am not sure)
