Justi. . .the "Raw Stylus Mix" was not included on all cd-singles of "Dirt" - if you "dig" for images of "Dirt" by googling, you will find a cover with that famous art-work by the Spanish artist "Zush" ("US"-booklet) together with the title "Raw Stylus Mix".
The german cd-single (the one I know) only includes "Quiet Steam" and "Dirt - Instrumental".
I just read yesterday, that Simon Emmerson ("Afro Celt Sound System", "The Imagined Village" (Real World)) was the PRODUCER of the "Raw Stylus Mix". There is also a Real World-album called "A Week Or Two In The Real World", where Simon Emmerson, Raw Stylus and Carole Rowley perform the song "Take Good Care of Your Soul". Go to Peter`s "Real World Records"-site - there must be an "audio-sample" of that track - so this can help You to imagine, how the "Dirt-Raw Stylus-mix" sounds like.
There are MANY excellent MIXES of Gabriel-songs, where I think, it would be just FAIR, that ALL FANS, who would like to have and listen to them, should have an access to - a "PETER GABRIEL - BEST MIXES / REMIX"-album would be a FINE SOLUTION ! - I`m Sure it would fill 2 cd`s ! - and I think, this would NOT be a problem for Peter and Real World ! Let me explain why :
There are now about "160 Real World-CD"-releases since Peter`s "Passion"(RW-CD 1) from 1989 - and there is ALREADY a remix-album together with a "DVD" by the "Afro Celts" called "POD".
The "Remix"-album idea was once mentioned after the release of "UP" in 2002.
I HOPE somebody can help You and shares this version/mix with You !
