Today is the 25th anniversary of the release of Peter’s sixth solo studio album US.
An intensely personal album, it first charted in the UK on 4 October 1992 peaking at #2. It stayed in the Top 75 for 29 weeks.
US spawned four commercially released singles Digging in the Dirt, Steam, Blood of Eden and Kiss That Frog, three award winning promo videos and an extraordinary live tour.
Though, perhaps initially, US was rather overshadowed by the huge success achieved by it’s predecessor So, it contains a number of songs that Peter has said he feels are amongst his best and many that have become staples of Peter’s live sets in the subsequent years.
Within the website there are some new US related pages added, including Release pages for each of the album’s singles, details on each of the art pieces commissioned for the album and some updated imagery and interview material within the Secret World Live Release page, with more to be added over the next period of time.
Here you can watch the US EPK that has Peter talking about many of the songs on the album.
