The Magnetic Fields: Realism

The first ‘double a-side’, or ‘digital 45′ as it will be known at the iTunes store from the ‘Scratch My Back’ (and I’ll scratch yours) project will be released on this months full moon. Peter’s track will be his cover of The Magnetic Fields ‘The Book of Love’, the flip side will be Stephin Merritt’s cover of ‘Not One of Us’.

The Magnetic Fields are getting some great press for their new album ‘Realism’, so to warm you up for the full moon, we thought we’d point you at a great review in The Guardian to give the uninitiated some background.

MySpace Music is hosting an exclusive premiere of The Magnetic Fields’ forthcoming “Realism” all day today January 23. Visit myspace.com/themagneticfields to listen to full-length clips of every song off the new album. “Realism” will be released on Tuesday, January 26 on Nonesuch Records.
