A little information on the forthcoming dates has found it's way to us.
Speaking of the new dates, Peter said:
We all had a great time on the Growing Up tour last year, but sadly we couldnt take it to as many places as we wanted to, so we decided to come back for part 2. Im particularly looking forward to playing in some of the places I havent performed for many years
Peter's taking The Growing Up Tour out of storage and back out on the road. The STILL GROWING UP 2004 TOUR will come to the UK in June and will be the finale of a 23 date European tour.
The Still Growing Up 2004 Tour follows on from last years Growing Up Tour, which again brought together Gabriel and leading theatrical director Robert Lepage who collaborated on the ground breaking Secret World Tour in 1993.
There will be new material and theatrics in the show. Staged in the round, fans will be able to see Gabriel suspended upside down from the stage and performing inside the now famous giant inflatable Zorb ball. With boats, balls and bicycles, it is a unique and memorable combination of sound and vision.
The new dates will showcase songs from across Peter's career, including tracks from UP and some of his biggest hits, which feature on his most recent double album, HIT. New material such as Burn You Up, Burn You Down will be performed as part of the tour for the first time, along with a raft of his biggest songs, including Sledgehammer, Solsbury Hill, Mercy Street and Red Rain. The show also features poignant renditions of songs, such as Father Son from the OVO album in 2000.
The new tour sees Peter team up again with guitarist David Rhodes and bass player Tony Levin, with Richard Evans on guitars, mandolin and whistle, Ged Lynch returning on drums and Rachel Z on keyboards. Daughter Melanie joins her father once again on stage on vocals.
Anyone who saw Sevara as part of the Growing Up Tour last year, or who has enjoyed her Yol Bolsin CD on Real World Records might like to give her their support in the BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music 2004.
The audience award is a chance for the public to vote for their favourite artist of 2003.
We start the year with the very sad news of Dr Hukwe Zawose's death.
Early last year you may have been lucky enough to see Hukwe and his nephew Charles with Peter as support act during the Growing Up Tour.
I was devastated to hear of Hukwes death. He was an extraordinary musician, singer and composer and made some of the most beautiful music we have ever put out on Real World Records. Peter Gabriel.
Peter and the band are now on their way back from the fantastic 46664 concert in South Africa. We've just had this shot of the 'Biko" rehersal in and thought you might like to take a look.
At last copies of "Burn You Up, Burn You Down' have materialized, so even though we're a week late, we want to point you in the he direction of Peter's new single.
Well, the entries for the tickets to the session with Peter here at Real World ended on the stoke of 12 midnight, so we are now putting all the names in a huge hat. Thanks for all the entries to that and the BBC Children In Need ticket draw. It will take a little while to pull out the winners, so we will be updateing you all on Monday, until then I'll sign off and head for home. Now, where has the moon gone? It's pretty dark out there.
Martyn Bennett was confirmed yesterday as the support for the show coming up at The Brighton Centre on the 24th.
Peter and the band are together for the BBC Children in Need Concert and the Nelson Mandela 46664 concert and so have sandwiched this more intimate show and a trip to the South Coast in between. Check the Tours page for booking info, and we hope to see you there.

Happy Full Moon - to celebrate this month's lunar peak we have added the Martyn Bennett remix of Sky Blue to the Full Moon Club downloads page.
It's available in AAC and MP3 formats. This moon seems to be exhibiting a bit of useful synchronicity for us in that it also coincides with the release of Martyn Bennett's solo work
