Peter Gabriel - Lovetown

Peter Gabriel's song 'Lovetown' was first released in February 1993 on the soundtrack to the film 'Philadelphia' and was included on the film's soundtrack album. The video for the track was inspired by the art work of Yayoi Kusama, who Peter collaborated with on the video. He had also worked with Yayoi Kusama in 1992 when Yayoi Kusama was one of 11 artists who created images for Peter's 'Art From Us' project. Lovetown was not included on the 'Us' album but was released as a single in 1994. The video was released as part of a compilation of Peter's videos entitled 'Play' in 2004. Yayoi Kusama also worked with Peter on the "EvE" CD-ROM, released in 1996.

Yayoi Kusama has an exhibition forthcoming at The Tate which runs from the 9 February -- 5 June 2012. For more information follow the link below.

PeterGabriel Happy New Year everyone! We have some exclusive news for you. Facebook is almost at 500,000 so share this as much as you can please. We would like to inform you of a great photographic magazine called "Matador" published by the very cool people at Lafabrica. In this months issue there is a one off CD of stretched versions of music from Peters new "New Blood album". Peter took the instrumentals and sometimes single elements of the music and spent some time pulling them out and slowing them down,so that he could give Matador this original work. Yes its pricey... at 125 Euro but the quality of the magazine is very high and actually large...its 30cm by 40cm. If you want to subscribe to Matador and get the CD too here is a link. http://tienda.lafabrica.com/en/resto-del-mundo/777-suscripcion-anual-a-matador-en-el-extranjero.html?id_lang=1 Matador magazine was first published in 1995, with issue A, and will continue to be produced annually until 2022, when issue Z will end the project. Each issue is bilingual, with the text in both Spanish and English, and it is big, measuring 30 x 40cm. It is immaculately designed, offering photography fans what has sadly become a rare treat - a magazine that publishes imagery full page and in large format. For its first ten issues, the magazine was designed by Fernando Gutiérrez, and it is now designed by Pablo Rubio, who took over at issue K. http://www.lafabrica.com/en/ And .. Its the full moon on monday so........ We should have an on time (for a change) : ) full moon video post with more news direct from Peter. Look out for it! Uniquely for Portico Quartet, the track Steepless features a vocal collaboration with the East London based Swedish singer, http://iamcornelia.com/" rel="nofollow">Cornelia. The band met Cornelia through their friend http://www.jamiewoon.com/" rel="nofollow">Jamie Woon, and were drawn to her unique voice and songs. Steepless, which started as a more conventional song, was created live in the studio by the band, and Cornelia and the band together created a powerful new dialogue that provides one of the album’s many stand out moments.
