Brescia

It was a great gig, the best yet. If anybody has not been to a PG show in Italy, all can say is quick come to the next few, they will be special. Only in Italy do the audience all sing along, 'On the Air' was louder coming back from the crowd than on the stage.

We had the usual rain, and a bit more, but we are over that.

PG had a few mess-ups, but that makes it part of the show, In 'No Self Control' by verse 2 we had to start it all over again. That was fine for Rich Evans who loves to get his marimba grooves going. PG just forgot a whole section and it was best to stop and restart. David Rhodes even stopped playing altogether during DIY as PG messed up a chorus change.

I think the atmosphere and perhaps a little wine in the restaurant before the show introduced a more relaxed feeling to the band's playing - Angie and Mel seemed to grin all the way through the set.

It was great to see Anna, Mel's sister, come up for 'In Your Eyes'

A great looking show too as we went on in near darkness, so the sound-to-light songs looked and felt even better.

No Biko though, but maybe tonight.

Back in Rome .. It's hot and not a cloud in the sky.
