Mainz -on a roll now

I felt like we are on to a roll now. 

Great show, despite a few problems, but its not a Gabriel show with out a little drama. A great place to play too, surrounded by trees. It's what I imagine WOMAD to be like. 

Everything went as well as we thought. We had a few panics though. My radio system just stopped working right before Mother Of Violence. I looked at my radio and it was on, I looked at my desk and there was still signal there! 
PG was talking to me though our talk back system but I could not hear anything...So I ran to the other side of stage to see Dee, Dan and Josh, working very fast to get my audio back, of course it came back in minutes just in time to get PG back on stage. Then in Solsbury Hill, David Rhodes fell over and his  gtr came off as he was skipping around the stage. He was OK but could not play as his radio had stopped working and it was the end of the song. So a few small events to keep us amused anyway. 

The crew are all getting ready for a lovely back-to-back of gigs .. we have to leave Hamburg and fly to the Eden project, then fly on to Dublin, then fly back to London. We have to split gear up, and then find it again in London. It's all a bit much only 4 gigs in, but we should be fine.

Peter Lorimer is heading the task of seeing what gear we need and what we don't and he's doing a fine job, even if we are a little grumpy about it. 

Dan Lavi my assistant is doing very well for his first tour, he is dealing with Ged's kit, as well as working with Peter L setting up the Ev mess as we like to call it. 

My system is working fine now, I have a great lyric prompting system, as well as a great monitor cue system to make the show easier for the boss, so he can concentrate on singing and playing, not getting distracted by forgetting words and not hearing the rest of the band properly. 

Day off today .. which we need as the next few days will be very busy.
